POLAND 2009 - Dzieki Ci DEMO

Dzieki Ci DEMO
So as I have mentioned before, we are working on a new Faceplant CD that we hope to release in the near future. But it is taking quite a bit of time. In order to have new material ready to release in time for the concert in May 2009 with Euangelion, we hope to release a CD single of the original song, "Thanks To You," in Polish and in English. "Thanks To You" is translated "Dzieki Ci" in Polish. A huge "thanks to you" to our good friend Damian who translated it for us. We are now waiting for Marta, Łukasz, Jonas and Bogdan to add their parts to this song. I hope to have their parts recorded by the end of the week, so that I can send the MP3 off to Jackson in Vancouver to doctor up and master for us. This is the first original song of mine that I have attempted to sing in the Polish language. I know the accent is there, and I am hoping to even try harder to hide my American accent by re-recording my vocals before we release the CD. Please click on the link below to give the DEMO a listen if you like. Remember, this a rough mix and DEMO version. Enjoy:

POLAND 2009 - First Deliverance We've Seen In Poland

Piotrków-Trybunalski, Poland
Thursday, April 23, 2009
.
First Deliverance We’ve Seen In Poland
So yesterday, during my time of prayer in the morning, I was truly seeking God’s face and asking for some things here in Poland (not for me, but for Poland), and the Lord showed me that I need to enter a time of fasting. It wasn’t really clear how long this fast would be, but along with this came a picture of a light switch being turned on and the words, “This kind only comes out by prayer and fasting.”
.
Last week, during our prayer time here at church, we had a bit of a problem with one of the six year old children from the church. I guess that while all the kids were playing together downstairs, this six year old was trying to smother and strangle our daughter, Jordan. She wasn’t hurt, but pretty shaken up as she called out for Jonas to help. Jonas pulled him off of her but he wouldn’t stop trying to do this. And that night he continued to talk about just wanting to kill people. I have noticed that there was something “off” when I first saw this boy church. I mean, this isn’t normal at all for children his age to talk like that and act like that. We also know that his mom, a single mother, can’t control him and that he has a huge problem with defiance and disobedience.
.
I didn’t even find out about this incident until Jordan woke up screaming in the night. She said that something that she couldn’t see grabbed her leg. Right away I sensed an evil spirit in the room. And right away we cast it out of our home. Then she told us about what had happened while they were playing (which is where our kids sleep as well). I connected these two things instantly and decided I must confront the situation and talk to the mother.
.
His mother was very sorrowful that he had acted this way and apologized. When she confronted him about it, he said that he couldn’t stop the urge to do these things. I have sensed a demonic presence with that boy for a while, but I usually keep silent about such things. Now, though, was the time to talk about it. We decided at the next prayer meeting that we had, that we would spend time praying for the children, and spend time waiting on God for a word about how what to do about her child, whether or not to pray over him, etc.
.
So last night, we had our prayer meeting together upstairs. I had been fasting all day (I don’t usually share this with people, if I am fasting, but I think it is pertinent to the story) and we began to go into a time of prayer and waiting on God. Right away, God gave me a clear understanding about something that had happened. After our time of waiting on God, a few had shared what God was revealing to them. One person shared that this boy’s name means “warrior that brings joy,” and that the enemy has caught wind of the calling on his life. Another had mentioned that this boy had come to mind as she was studying about Gideon. Another had heard that “God was to be the father of this young man” (Again, this boy’s father left a long time ago and he is raised by his mom). The word that God gave me about this situation, was that at some point, either during his mom’s pregnancy or while he was an infant, one of the parents had said something horrible, either out loud or in their hearts, that was actually a curse on this boy’s life that needed to be broken. As I said this, his mother was in tears and said that she already knew exactly what it was and when it was spoken. Come to find out, the father had said that this child was the son of the anti-Christ. It all made sense. For Satan, “the thief, comes to kill, steal and destroy.” (John 10:10) This boy was displaying behavior evident of such a destroying spirit. We had the mother openly and audibly pray, and break this curse that had been placed on her son.
.
The next thing to do was pray for the boy. I chose one other man to pray with me over him. As soon as we started talking to the boy, it was evident that the enemy knew that his hold on this boy was being threatened. This other man and I began to talk with him, and then began praying for him. The boy began to become defiant and was out of control. I sensed that I should hold the boy as still as possible as we prayed for him. He kicked and screamed, and had a strength that was not normal for a six year old boy, a demonic strength. His face contorted, he began to sweat profusely, scream, cough, clench his hands as this other man and I began to plead the blood of Jesus over him. I recognized three spirits right away and confronted them: A destroyer spirit, a rebellious spirit and the spirit of anti-Christ, though I believe there were more. We asked the boy what his name was, and he was incoherent. He couldn’t even hear us. We claimed the authority in Jesus Christ that we have over evil spirits and rebuking them, demanding that they leave this boy. We reminded the enemy of the curse that had just been broken. It was a long, hard fight that lasted over an hour and half. I have seen demons come out of people in moments, and sometimes an hour, but this is the longest I’ve seen it take for demonic spirits to retreat. We prayed in English, Polish as well as in tongues. For a while at the end we tried to have the boy say, “Jezusa jest Pan,” which means, “Jesus is Lord.” At first he would open his mouth, and his tongue would move back and forth really fast, like he wanted to say it, but was unable. He also had white spit all around his mouth. It was pretty freaky to say the least. But this other man and I just calmly did what God has called us to do in this situation.
.
Finally, we had break through. The boy was able to say, “Jezusa jest Pan,” and as soon as he was able to say this, he became completely calm. The demeanor of his face completely changed as if he had just been given the biggest dose of freedom and peace he had ever had. He just sat there as we talked to him. We asked him how he was feeling. He replied that he was feeling all better. I just embraced this boy and thanked Jesus for his deliverance, praying that those demonic spirits would never be able to return to him. We talked to him for a while. As he went upstairs with the other kids, the other adults immediately saw that this boy was different now. We had a time of teaching with his mom.
.
Praise the Lord that this boy was set free from these evil spirits. Praise the Lord that through the gifts of prophecy and word of knowledge, that a curse was broken in this family’s life. The cool thing is, that we are all doing life together with this family, and this single mom has found a place in this church body and feels very much loved. But please continue to pray for them, as well as the others here in Poland. And please pray for me as well, as I believe that this time of prayer and fasting, wasn’t just to see this young man released from the enemy’s grip. I have recognized some other things here that must be broken in order for revival to take place and for the Spirit of God to have his way here. We covet all of your prayers and love you all so very much.

POLAND 2009 - Live FacePlant Concert

Piotrków-Trybunalski, Poland

.
Live FacePlant Concert
This last Saturday night, the evangelical church here in Piotrków-Trybunalski, put on its’ first ever Christian rock concert. This has been on the heart of Andrzej to do, and he was mostly responsible for promoting it. We weren’t sure how many people would come. We held the concert in the future main sanctuary of the church which is unfinished (which I think looks cool for a “rock” concert).

.
Anyway, the place was packed out. There weren’t any seats left in the place. Many of them were youth and many of them have not yet received Jesus Christ into their lives. I sang nine original songs, four from “Make Me Clean,” four from “Reckless Abandon,” and an unreleased song. We had those two albums which have been re-released for sale in the back, and I know that some of them were bought. Between every song I joked around a little, and gave my testimony in the third person by talking about “this guy I know.” The gospel was clearly given through the testimony, and we can only hope that at this point, the seeds that were planted will begin to take root and that lives will be changed. We have another bigger concert scheduled for early May at the Cultural Center. Thank you for all your prayers surrounding this concert. Please check out the video below if you want to watch the concert.

POLAND 2009 - Resurrection Sunday

Piotrków-Trybunalski, Poland
Tuesday, April 14, 2009.
Resurrection Sunday
In Poland, Easter is a big holiday. The evangelical church doesn’t really celebrate Easter the same way that the Catholic Church does, yet we were a part of three services over the weekend. We also got a chance to hang out with some friends and have fun with the kids.

.
The first service we took part in was the Good Friday service. Some special guests, Tom and Ann from England came to Poland for the weekend. Tom was the guest speaker for at the Good Friday service. We had singing, prayer, a message and communion. Of course, the focus was on Jesus’ death on the cross. Daniel asked if I could sing a song. I chose, “Once Again,” by Matt Redman. Daniel translated it into Polish the day before, and I sang it in English, but we were able to sing the bridge in Polish which says, “Dzięnkuje Ci ya krzyż, Dzięnkuje Ci ya krzyż, Dzięnkuje Ci ya krzyż moj Przyjacielu,” which in English is, “Thank You for the cross, Thank You for the cross, Thank You for the cross my Friend.”

.
Our next service was on Sunday morning, which we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus, as most evangelical churches traditionally do. There were a lot of people there that morning, which was awesome. We had a great time of worship, prayer and a message, which Tom gave once again. I was asked to sing, “Once Again,” at this service as well. The message was great and challenged us to remember what happened when Jesus rose from the dead. Daniel had translated a drama earlier, and the children from the church performed it. They did a great job. After the church service our family went to Mark and Naomi’s house to have obiad, watch a movie together and have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was a lot of fun. That evening, we came back and were able to watch the Easter service at Whipple Creek Church live on the internet.

.
Easter weekend lasts through Monday here in Poland. But on Monday, part of their tradition has to do with soaking people with water throughout the day. So we were squirted with water during the day on Monday. We followed a group from the church in Piotrków-Trybunalski to the village church in Kolonia Psorki where our team from Whipple Creek went a couple of years ago. The kids got to see the different farm animals. Then we all packed into one room. Andrzej led the service and gave the message. We had a time of singing hymns in Polish from their hymn books. Once again, I was asked to sing the song, “Once Again,” and also sang, “How Great Is Our God.” Afterwards we had a time of fellowship, ate pastries and had a cup of tea. We went to Andrzej and Kasia’s house, had obiad and spent the afternoon with them and Kasia’s brother and sister. Then we went to Daniel’s house for an evening meal. Afterward, the kids and the Krystoń family played “spoons,” while I got slaughtered at a game of chess with Amadeusz first, then with Łukasz. We had a great weekend as we celebrated Jesus’ death and resurrection with our friends here in Poland.

POLAND 2009 - Ability To See Spiritual Activity

Piotrków-Trybunalski, Poland

.
Ability To See Spiritual Activity
So on our trip across Europe, I really spent some time in England praying for more and more sensitivity to the Spirit of God in the area of recognizing angelic spirits, both elect and fallen, as well as in the prohetic. Be careful what you ask for.
.
When we got back from our trip across Europe, I was invited by the pastor here to attend a Jehovah's Witness gathering to sort of see what they are up to in the city. First of all, it is quite possibly the wierdest "service" I have ever been to, with their doctrine and practices. But as the speaker was up there, I noticed some dark, shodowy figures to the right of the stage moving around. Then I felt impressed to just pray for the people in attendance (which was many), that the blindfolds that Satan had placed upon them would be lifted. As soon as I started praying, I felt so tired. I mean, like I couldn't stop myself from falling asleep-tired. I kept fighting it in the Spirit...but it was so hard.
.
A few days later, at the Kid's Club meeting that we hold every other Saturday for children in the neighborhood, I experienced something else. There is a girl who has been coming for years. Her name is Dagmara. I think she's about 15 or 16 years old. I have never noticed anything strange spiritually in time past with this girl. But for some reason, on Saturday, she came in late. As she walked into the meeting (it was the teaching time), I literally saw a demonic spirit attached to her. As I looked into her eyes, I felt as though I was peering into the eyes of an evil spirit. I then proceeded to put my head into my habds and pray for her. All of the sudden, I got a horrible headache of the migrane sort. Then, with my eyes closed, I saw Dagamara in the future. She was older and had put on a lot of weight. Somehow, I knew that she had opened a door to the enemy on her life. In this glimpse into the future, I somehow knew that she would live a hard life full of partying and even communion with evil spirits, but that later in life, she would remember what she had been taught at this evangelical church, and turn to Jesus.
.
I really don't know what to do with this. I have only told a few people and have just been praying for her. I am still trying to figure out what to do when these things happen. I know to pray the opposite of what I see...but I don't always know if and/or when I should talk to the person about whom the prophetic insight comes. Please pray for Dagmara. And please pray for me, that God would give me wisdom as to how to act upon these things.
.
I pray that in these last days, that God would pour out more and more of His Spirit on His children, that we would operate in the power of His Spirit, and that through this, revival would spread like a wildfire, and many people will be drawn to Jesus. Love you all. Talk to you soon.

Trip Across Europe DAY #11
Today was our last day on the road. We woke up and had breakfast with Damian. The kids walked a little bit more on one of the islands on which Wrocław is built as I stayed back to pack our things. The trip from Wrocław to Piotrków-Trybunalski was a little over three hours, as there was road work and such. It was so good to be back home in PT. We very much missed our friends with whom we live and minister here.

.
We had a great trip across Europe. We know that this was a necessary trip in order to have our passports stamped in order to stay in Poland for another three months, but as we had prayed beforehand, it was a fruitful time of ministry as well. We made some great connections with people along the way. Thank you so much for your prayers. They were truly answered. We drove over 4,000 kilometers altogether, which is around 2,400 miles, yet only on five tanks of gas, thanks to our little Audi with it's Turbo-Diesel engine. But hey, it’s not every day that you get to enjoy God’s beautiful creation during a drive across Europe, and our family does great on the road. It seems as though the older I get, I am the one that needs to stop more often to use the restroom. Ha ha. Our next extended trip that we will need to make will be our last before we leave for Africa in September. In June we plan to travel east to Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine to get our passports stamped. Hope you have enjoyed the stories, pictures and videos from our trip.

Trip Across Europe DAY #10
This morning we got up and headed to the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Siegen, Germany, where I was blessed to be able to share from God’s Word what He had laid on my heart at their morning devotions. I got to share with them about our calling as missionaries, and how important it is to share the gospel of Christ with every nation, as this is God’s heart. I spoke a little bit on the throne room, and how we each refract the glory of God in our own unique way, like precious stones in the hand of the Father. Some students and staff thanked us for the teaching as they were touched by it, which is awesome that God would use us here in this trip to stamp our passports in such a way. We had a cup of coffee at their coffee shop and hit the road for Wrocław, Poland.

.
After a long drive across Germany we crossed the border into Poland. I mean, the trip was nice, but we were glad to be back in Poland, where we feel “at home” among the people whom we love and minister. Our good friend Damian is a student in Wrocław, Poland, and we promised him that we would visit him in Wrocław during the spring, as this city is especially beautiful during this time of year. We stayed at the dorms attached to the evangelical Bible college where he studied in the past. It was a lovely apartment we stayed in. And Damian was so awesome. He is the one who reserved this room for us, and he even bought some food for us beforehand for breakfast the next morning. He showed us around the main part of Wrocław as we looked for a place to eat dinner. The weather was beautiful. We ended up eating at a little hole-in-the-wall Chinese food restaurant which was great. We walked around more that evening with him.

GERMANY 2009 - Trip Across Europe DAY #9

Siegen, Germany
Tuesday, April 7, 2009
.
Trip Across Europe DAY #9
We drove to the Eurotunnel this morning, only to remember that we were an hour later than we had thought due to the time difference. So we headed across France, Belgium and Germany quickly to Siegen, Germany. We ended up making really good time and got there around 5:00 pm. We tried our hardest to use a few of the German phrases that we had learned on the Eurotunnel from England to France to order ourselves some Bratwursts and French fries from a little restaurant in Siegen.
.
I had been asked to lead worship at a small group Bible study held weekly and Nick and Jessie’s house at 7:00 pm. So we brought our luggage in, got the guitar out and I got to lead my brothers and sisters in Christ into the presence of God through worship. We sang, “Jesus Lord Of Heaven,” “Arms Of Love,” and, “Open The Eyes Of My Heart Lord.” Then Nick gave an awesome teaching on blind Bartemeous. There was some great discussion that took place after the teaching. And then there was some great fellowship after that. We really had a good chance to connect with more staff and students and encourage them.

ENGLAND 2009 - Trip Across Europe DAY #8

Monday, April 6, 2009
.
Trip Across Europe DAY #8
We left this morning for the southern part of England as we wanted to be close to the Eurotunnel on Tuesday morning as we needed to be in Siegen, Germany by Tuesday afternoon. We chose the city of Hastings to stay because it is a bigger city. Hastings has a lot of historical importance dating back to 1066 with William the Conqueror. We found a nice little bed and breakfast to stay at the was also within our price range. Once we got checked in, we headed downtown to walk along the beach, change some money out and get some dinner.

.
We had a little glitch as our ATM card was confiscated by an ATM machine. This was not good as we are traveling through Europe and need it to withdraw funds. After an unfruitful conversation with the people at the bank, I called our bank only to find out that everyone’s cards had been cancelled due to some kind of security breach. An email from the bank may have been nice, at the very least. Anyway, that situation is being taken care of, but it is no fun when it happens. But a dinner at an Indian food restaurant and a walk on the beach made things better. We even got to see the castle ruins from a distance.

Trip Across Europe DAY #7
Our family went to church together at a really cool place in Stoney Stanton, not too far from The King’s Lodge called, “Living Rock Church.” I think I mentioned yesterday that it is Justin’s church. Almost the entire CDTS group went along as well. Had a great time of worship. Ran into the guy who I sat next to at the men’s breakfast. The Norwegian man who spoke at the men’s breakfast yesterday gave the message. There was a time of worship again at the end. Quite a few people came forward for salvation, healing, prophecy and a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit.

.
We are so thankful for the time we have been able to spend here at The King’s Lodge. I believe that it was no coincidence that we were blown by the Spirit of God to Nuneaton, England. Relationships have been started. Visions have been cast. God’s children have been edified.

ENGLAND 2009 - Trip Across Europe DAY #6

Warwick, England
Saturday, April 4, 2009
.
Trip Across Europe DAY #6
Jonas and I were invited to a men’s breakfast at Justin’s church this morning which is about 15 minutes away. They had a special speaker from Norway who was very funny, and very inspiring. He gave a testimony about his life, and also spoke of the power of the Holy Spirit in the areas of healing and prophecy. Another staff member and some of the CDTS students came with us. We also got to meet some new people and fellowship with them, including an older gentleman who was a missionary in Mozambique during the war. What awesome stories I got to hear. I also had the speaker lay hands on my back and pray for it as it has still been bothering me. Definitely felt something happen. Then he came up to Jonas, not knowing him at all, and asked if he played a musical instrument. Jonas responded that he played guitar. The speaker encouraged him that he would use this in mighty ways for God’s kingdom, and that he was going to at some point in his life meet someone named Julian, and that Jonas was going to have a great impact in his life.

.
Then we went with some staff members, Rick and Sue, to Starbucks and hung out talking to them over a cup of coffee. From there we drove to Warwick Castle, which is the best kept medieval castle in England. It was a lot of fun. We got to walk around the castle, see an enactment of two guys fighting with different weapons. Then we saw a bird show, which was cool. We tried to get up on top of the castle walls, but there had been an emergency up there with someone. All of the sudden emergency vehicles and a helicopter came, and we were not allowed up there. We prayed that the person that had the emergency wasn’t seriously injured, and that they would come to know Jesus, if they didn’t already. So then we went inside the castle and saw all the different rooms was realistic looking figures of historical figures connected with the castle (I think). The rooms were so ornate, too. Anyway, it was a fun trip.

.
After dinner at the school, we were able to join the CDTS staff and students in playing “Apples To Apples,” and then I had a chance to take out the guitar and lead the group in worship for a little while. I am really glad that we have been able to be with the staff and students here. Connections are definitely being made. I know that God has awesome things in store for the staff and students over the next six months during their CDTS. God has been so good to us on this journey.
