Eight Saved in a Mountain Village
This morning we had the wonderful opportunity to go and share with some extended family members of our adopted Pohnpeian family in Nett municipality. My dad and I drove from our house about 15 minutes up to the mountains where they live, and were able to share the simple gospel message with them. But first we sang a few worship songs together both in English as well as in Pohnpeian. After that my dad shared with them from the book of John chapter 3 about the importance of being born again in order to be saved. When we asked who wanted to be born again, everyone raised their hand to receive Jesus. My dad led them all in prayer in the Pohnpeian language, asking Jesus to forgive them of their sins and inviting Jesus into their hearts.

The leader of their family was deaf in one ear and experiencing pain in his leg. We testified of the healing power that Jesus gives us once we are born again. Then my dad anointed his ear and his leg with oil and prayed for him to be healed. The man's ear was completely opened and for the first time in a long time, he was able to hear his family members calling his name from across the room. The pain in his leg was also healed and the man and his family were grinning from ear to ear as they witnessed firsthand how much Jesus truly loves them by demonstrating His power in their midst. There is no church anywhere near their home in the mountains of Nett, so we will return every Sunday morning to continue to disciple them. We praise God for the continued breakthrough we are seeing in the lives of these beautiful Pacific islanders.
