Bay Area International Ministry - BULGARIA

We took our dog to the park again today. It never ceases to amaze me how many different nations are represented not only here in the Bay Area but even here in Concord. So many children see our dog and want to pet him. Today a little girl came to play with Beemo. Her and her mom are from Bulgaria. We had a chance to talk with the mom a bit. She has been here with her husband for the past ten years but all of her family lives in Bulgaria. We asked her if she grew up in a religious home. She responded that she grew up Orthodox. They go to a Russian Orthodox church in San Francisco only on Christmas and Easter. I said certain words and phrases in Russian to see if they were the same in Bulgarian. To my surprise they were the same in Bulgarian as in Russian. It was a nice conversation that we had, and may just be the beginning of a friendship, but we have seen them at the park before, so hopefully we will be able to shine the light of Christ and share the love of Jesus with her more.
