Salvation and Revival...A Week of Breakthrough
The week
started out for me this last Sunday being asked to join the worship team
and speak at Zion Fellowship. It was an amazing time working with an
amazing group of servant leaders on the worship team. I spoke about our
life as missionaries, telling stories and interjecting words of wisdom
and encouragement throughout the message. The church was packed. I heard
only good reports, though I went a little long on my message. they are
letting me continue where I left off this last Sunday. One man who came
to Zion Fellowship for the first time with his family said that he could
"feel the Holy Spirit every minute of the service."
.
We have hit it
off so well with our amazing hosts and their
family. They are the pastors of Zion Fellowship and also run the Oasis
Empowerment Center, where they help women who are coming out of
addiction. I've been able to observe this ministry and let me just say,
these guys are hearing the heartbeat of God for the "least of these" and
responding. In fact, we knew of them when we were
missionaries in Pohnpei many years ago. In fact, they worked for the
same organization that we did back then and our lives are somewhat
parallel. When we talk together about the people that we know from the
Pacific islands, we stand in awe that the Lord established this Divine
appointment as the girls and I are waiting for their passports to be
renewed here in Guam.
.
I was asked if I
could minister to the worship team and the youth group this last week.
of course I was honored to do so. On Monday and Tuesday evening the
worship team and I met together where we discussed what worship leading
is, their goals and how to take the hand of the Father and the hand of
the congregation and join the two together. On Monday night we ended our
time together with prophetic worship. On Tuesday we all prayed over one
another and prophesied. We laid hands on people for healing. One lady
received healing from carpuls tunnels. We will all lead worship together
 this Sunday as well.
.
On Wednesday
and Thursday evening I led the youth meeting. They are an incredible
group. Some of them their mothers having gone through the program at
Oasis. The first night I shared my testimony further, and then we wrote
on two pieces of paper. On one paper we wrote our sins and struglles. On
the the other paper we wrote our dreams. The paper with our sins and
our struggles we taped to the cross in the main sanctaury, then took the
papers down and burned them outside. I had them take the paper with
their drams on it home and put it up where they could always see it, now
that their sins and struggles would no longer keep them from living out
their dreams. FOUR of the young people made a first-time decision to
enter a personal, hand-holding relationship with Jesus! The next night,
we talked more about their dreams and about their identity. We prayed
for them to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Three of the four
youth that I personally prayed for began to pray in tongues for the
first time! We are truly seeing salvation and revival here in Guam. It
has DEFINITELY been a week of breakthough!
