Salvation on the Streets of Sendai
Our team was able to hit the streets last Thursday night in downtown Sendai where there is a night life with bars and strip joints. We made two signs; one said "prayer for healing," the other said, "prophetic words." Quite a few from our team wore their mascot suits; a tiger, monkey, gorilla and frog. The drunk people came up to us right away and ministry time was on. We prayed over people for hours as the cold wind chilled us to the bone. Six people prayed to receive Christ. Many people received healing and prophetic words as well. We also gave out Japanese Bibles and invited everyone to Jeremy and Kumi's church in Sendai. It was awesome!

One guy I met spoke really good English. His name was Tom. Tom even had a basic idea of what the Bible teaches. He kept saying how drunk he was and wondered why our team chose that street to minister on, saying it was like "Sodom and Gomorrah." I just told him that this is where Jesus would minister. He told me how sinful he was and couldn't believe that God would still love him. I just embraced him and told him that Jesus loves him no matter what he had done, and that His arms are open wide to receive him back. The man wept and we prayed together.

Last Day at the Shelter in Watari
On the last day at the shelter in Watari, we decided to throw a huge birthday party and bought everyone in the shelter sushi. Rachel and some others from Sano also drove up and brought birthday cake, fruit baskets and presents to give out. We also hid Easter eggs outside and had an Easter egg hunt with the children. It was so much fun just doting on the people at the shelter and after returning so many times to just give more and more love, the people were so very grateful to our team. Our team did a funny dance to the YMCA song, too. Funny stuff!
