Open Doors in Isaan
After a few hours of sleep, our team met at 10am to have breakfast, then a time of prayer, seeking the Lord's face as to what He would have for us. We basically came to Northeast Thailand in faith and obedience to the Lord. We were told we would need to bring a translator. They all fell through and we had no translator. We only had one contact of a Pentecostal pastor who speaks only Thai. God began to give us some words and pictures. Kayla got the word, "children." Jesse and I had similar pictures of renting motor scooters and taking torches around the city, lighting up the streets, meaning we were to pray throughout the streets of Buriram. God also led me to Acts 17:22-32 where Paul addressed the idolatry in Athens. Then God brought me to Acts 18:9-10 where He said to Paul, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city." This became quite evident to us as we heeded God's voice.

We rented motor scooters and prayed throughout the city, starting at the Buddhist temple. Then we found an orphanage called, "The Tree of Life Children's Center." There we met Roger and his wife. Roger has been here since 1989 and built an orphanage in obedience to the Lord's call on his life. He shared quite a bit with us. Then God just opened a huge door for us through Roger to make plans to show the Jesus film at a public school that he has helped fund the construction of. Then Roger took us to a mountain where a huge idol overlooks the city of Buriram. We went there and prayed for the region.

.
Then we connected with the Pentecostal pastor and were able to minister at his church as another pastor from 50km away came to translate for us. So after dinner our team went to his church and shared with them, prayed with them and for them. There was such a loud and amazing prayer time that we had together with these hungry and thirsty Christ-followers. As the congregation lined up for prayer, Holy Spirit fell and everyone was touched. Many receiving gifts of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands. Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord for so many open doors!
