Looking Like the Lord Looks
I was given the opportunity to speak at the Sunday morning service here in Piotrków-Trybunalski yesterday. The main Scripture texts used were:
.
1 Samuel 16:7, “But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (NKJV).
.
Matthew 7:1-2, “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged.” (NKJV)
.
Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” (NKJV)
.
John 1:42, “Now when Jesus looked at him [Peter], He said, ‘You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas’ (which is translated, A Stone.).” (NKJV)
.
Lukke 22:61, “And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, ‘Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.’” (NKJV)
